Her Own Two Feet

Because of her disability, she is unable to walk and keep up with her brothers and sisters even though she tries as hard as she possibly can. When she turns 9, a doctor in the United States offers to sponsor surgery and medical care to see if he can help her walk. Rebeka leaves everything behind and flies to the United States to live with the Davis family for a year in hopes that she can learn to walk and get back to her life in Rwanda.
