 by Jacqueline West Genre:  Fantasy, Paranormal Fiona Crane has recently moved to the town of Lost Lake because her sister, Arden, is hoping to make it the Olympic level in figure skating.  Fiona is mad that her family has moved and that she had to leave all of her friends behind.  Arden has her figure skating, but Fiona has....nothing, or at least that's how it seems.  When Fiona stumbles across a strange book in the town's library, she begins to learn more about the strange place she now calls home.  Fiona can't wait to see how the story ends, but when she gets halfway through the book, the pages are suddenly blank.  Fiona is determined to figure out how the story ends...no matter what.

 by Margi Preus Genre:  Animal Story Jean Pierre Petite Le Rouge is a little red squirrel who longs to join the exciting life of the voyageurs.  He wants to travel by canoe and see the world.  When a group passes by on their way to Montreal, he hops aboard and hopes that he will be accepted even if he can't contribute much.  His voyageur life has its ups and downs until the day he discovers what the voyageurs actually trade for when they arrive in Montreal.  He is horrified with what he sees at the trading post and must decide if he should give up his voyageur dreams.

 by Taryn Souders Genre:  Mystery The whole town of Windy Bottoms, Georgia is buzzing about the discovery of skeletal remains on the town's playground.  Who is it and and how did they get there?  Coop and his friends are most curious, but when the police discover that the remains belong to Coop's grandmother who disappeared many years ago,  the town is suddenly looking at Coop's grandfather with suspicion.  Everyone in town seems to have their own theories and many are keeping secrets. Coop and his friends are determined to get to the bottom of the mystery by solving the crime and clearing his grandfather's name.

 by Lindsey Stoddard Genre:  Realistic Fiction Cyrus was a baby when he was left at the fire station in the small town of Northfield, MN.  Brooks Olson, the firefighter who found him, was unable to let him go so Cyrus has grown up with him and all of the firefighters at the station.  When they go out on a call to rescue a malnourished dog, Cyrus falls in love.  His dad doesn't want Cyrus to have the dog because he'll be too busy with school and football to take care of it.  School is hard for Cyrus and football is even worse, but he doesn't know how to be honest with his dad.  Cyrus needs to be brave and stand up for the things that are important to him.
