Tony "Trombone Shorty" Andrews grew up in New Orleans surrounded by music. He never let his trombone out of his sight. He took the stage with Bo Diddley during a jazz festival and from there went on to form his own band, The 5 O'Clock Band with some other friends. He practiced day after day and was eventually invited to join his older brother's band. Now he plays all over the world with his own band, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, but he always looks forward to returning to play for the folks in New Orleans.
