Vera wants to be like everyone else...have a sleepover birthday party and go to summer camp.  The birthday party is a disaster and she spends the whole summer at home with her younger brother.  But then she hears from a friend at church about this amazing Russian summer camp that the church would help pay for her to attend.  She persuades her mother to sign her up for 2 weeks and Vera could not be more excited!  She will have new adventures to share like all of the other kids when school starts up again in the fall.  However, camp doesn't go exactly the way that Vera thought it would and after just a few days she is longing for home.  Will she be able to stick it out?
