A Good Kind of Trouble

by Lisa Moore Ramee
Genre:  Realistic Fiction

Shayla feels most comfortable when there is a clear set of rules to follow.  Now that she is starting middle school, the rules seem less clear.  Her friends are changing, she might be interested in boys, she might like to run track, and maybe she wants to be part of Black Lives Matter?  All she knows for sure is that nothing seems to be quite as simple as it used to be.  It will take time and courage for Shayla to figure out who she is and who she wants to be.
