Cici and her parents have just moved to America from Taiwan.  Cici is nervous about how she will adjust to her new country and her new school.  She misses hanging out and cooking with her grandmother, but soon realizes that she can continue with her love of cooking.  But will her new American friends like the kind of cooking she is good at?  Cici has the chance to enter a cooking contest.  The first prize is $1000 which would be enough to buy her grandmother a plane ticket so that she could come for a visit.  Will Cici stick with her tried and true Taiwanese recipes or will she need to try American style cooking to win the prize?
