Hazel Bly and the Deep Blue Sea

Hazel used to love the ocean, until the day that she lost her Mum in a kayaking accident.  Now Hazel is afraid that bad things will happen to the rest of her family so she is doing everything she can to protect them.  Her Mama is trying her best, but she doesn't seem to want to talk about Mum and keeps moving them around the country.  They are just settling into life in Rose Harbor, Maine when Mama runs into Claire, a childhood friend who she hasn't seen since they were 12.  Claire has a super friendly daughter, Lemon, who immediately wants to include Hazel in all of her summer activities.  Hazel isn't sure she wants to make new friends since she is never sure how long they'll stick around.  Lemon has suffered a tragic loss in her life too.  Is it possible for the two girls to leave their sorrrows behind?
