Ana on the Edge

 by A.J. Sass

Genre:  Realistic Fiction

Ana-Marie Jin is trying to figure out who she is. She is definitely a skater as she is the current US Juvenile Figure Skating Champion.  But she is not the kind of figure skater who has long flowing hair and likes to wear frilly costumes.  She likes to wear her hair short and when a fellow skater mistakes her for a boy, she doesn't correct him.  She likes that he calls her A and refers to her with boy pronouns.  But Ana doesn't really feel like she is a boy either.  So what does that mean?  Ana will have to look deep inside herself and trust her mom, her best friend, and her skating coach if she is to truly figure out who she is...both on and off the ice.
