Twelve year old Adela has never met her father.  She really hasn't spent a lot of time thinking about him until her stepfather asks to adopt her.  Now she is thinking about him all of the time and wonders why her mother won't tell her anything.  Adela decides to find some answers for herself so she goes through her mother's things and finds a picture.  That picture leads her to New Mexico where she learns that her father is a famous wrestler, but just knowing who he is doesn't seem to be enough.  Before Adela can make a decision about her adoption, she needs to find out more about who she is and where she comes from.
